Meet the Rural Black Doula
Doula Jazzmine
Hi! I'm Jazzmine Brooks, the "Rural Black Doula," a professional full-spectrum doula, yogi, and scholar in Central Iowa. When invited to journey with someone through their movement, reproductive health, fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, or lactation journey, I become an ally. I am someone to walk beside you and serve as someone to lean on when needed. I focus on providing support through evidence-based care, hands-on support, listening with compassion and an open heart, and treating individuals, families, and communities with dignity and love.

"Jai Olive Wellness did a phenomenal job leading up to, during, and after the birth. I felt very prepared about what to expect during the process because Jazzmine's teachings were very thorough. During the birth, Jazzmine was very attentive not only towards me, but also to my husband and hospital staff! After the birth, Jazzmine followed up way beyond the requirements of her contract. She truly provided well-rounded and compassionate care."
